Bandung is the capital of the province of West Java and located 180 km South East of Jakarta and 768 meters above sea level. The weather is mild with temperature ranging between 18 to 24oC and 70% relative humidity. Before the second world war the city is called “Paris van Java” because of its beauty. Nowdays, Bandung is famous as an education city because it has many universities, with the growing population mainly caused by the incoming students from all around Indonesia. Some major strategic industries are located in Bandung such as the army and aircraft industries. Bandung is also known as a textile industry city. Although Bandung is more crowded now, the beauty remains, some Dutch style buildings still exist, and the Indonesian named the city as the ”Flower City”.
